Pine tar has been used for centuries as an ingredient in soap, particularly for soothing skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema, although it has also been claimed to soothe itching caused by insect bites. it has a strong natural scent and is also well known for its deodorizing properties.
Oregano can be applied to the skin for skin conditions including acne,
psoriasis, athlete's foot, oily skin, dandruff, canker sores, warts,
ringworm and rosacea. Oregano has anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and anti bacterial properties and is rich in anti oxidants.
Oatmeal is soothing, calming and protecting for the skin.
This listing is for four handcrafted lard and lye soaps. You will
receive two soaps made with Pine Tar and two made with oregano and oatmeal. This oregano has been grown here at
Clover Garden Soaps using organic gardening methods.These all natural soaps are made with only distilled
water, food grade lard, lye and pine tar/ oregano and oatmeal. No other ingredients
were used in the manufacture of this soap. I
do not use any alcohols, colorants, fragrances, whiteners ( such as
titanium dioxide) or hardeners in any of our products. All soaps are
hand made from scratch and are not made from "melt and pour" soap bases.
The pine tar soap is made using the hot process soaping method. The pine tar soaps contain 11% pine tar by weight.NOTE:
natural pine tar has a strong distinctive scent. Although I add no
extra fragrance to this soap, the natural fragrance of pine tar can be very
to the natural curing process, and lighting while the pictures were
taken, the colors of the soaps shown may differ slightly from the
photographs shown.Bars typically weigh 4 to 5 ounces each. No bar will weigh less than 3.5 ounces.
